Here are illustrated the storyboards of three ideas for the Ciatri project :

First idea

Ciatri will be a mobile-based online Trivia . It will have several cool features like
  1. Social integration: Facebook/Twitter login, automatic status updates
  2. Localization support: the user will receive questions translated in his own language
  3. Text to Speech: the user will be able to hear various texts, like questions, various vents and so on
  4. Speech Recognition: the user will be able to say his answer, without typing

Third idea

Ciatri will be a web-based application. The features are similar to the mobile-based one:

  • Social integration: users can login with their Facebok/Twitter accounts
  • Localisation support: content is delivered in user's language
  • Speech Recognition: users will be able to speak the answer
  • Text to Speech

One of our worries was the fact that speech recognition couldn't be done in browser. However, we did find this nice project:

http://www.speechapi.com/main/

which says that it enables speech recognition in a web page ( the solution is using flash ).

Such an idea would have the advantage of enabling it on most of the existing platforms: mobile, tablet, desktop.
